    AIPA-The Advertising & Illustrative Photographers Association The Advertising and Illustrative Photographers Association (AIPA) was founded in 1978 by a small group of Auckland photographers who wanted to face the challenges of the commercial environment collectively. The commercial arena they worked in covered the areas of advertising, illustrative, fashion and editorial photography; these photographers felt a need for representation outside of the traditional fraternities of the wedding and portrait fields.
